'Say Cheese!' these are the words where your teeth come into picture. Yes, I am trying to tell you that when you smile it' s your teeth that you show. Your teeth are important not only because it is part of has your personality but also it helped to chew food you eat. So to have healthy smile and strong teeth it is everyone’s responsibility to take of hygiene of teeth.

Why we need the hygiene of teeth. The reasons are as below:

To start with the hygiene steps, the first comes is brushing teeth twice a day. So when we talk about brushing then there are three things to take care of first the tooth paste you choose, the brush you use and the way you brush. For the tooth paste selection we have many good options in supermarkets, we have many flavors and colors for toothpastes, but should choose the toothpaste which is having fluoride in it because fluoride helps to keep your teeth strong and safe from cavity. But it is always preferable to see your dentist to know if you need some special tooth paste or not. For the brush, should use brush with soft bristles and should change brush after each three months. Brushing must be after breakfast and before going to bed. While brushing you should take time and should spend 3 minutes each time. While brushing you should brush on side ways, inner parts and don’t forget to brush your gums also. And important point not to be forgotten is floss once a day. It weird at the start but it is useful to not to have plague.

The diet also comes in the hygiene steps. Avoid eating sweet things like candies and chocolates in too many quantities. Also the junk food, snacks and dry fruits which sticks in teeth for long time which damages teeth. Avoiding these food habits or having it occasionally helps to keep your teeth healthy. Need special attention for kids to keep them away from candies. Not always only sweetie tasting things are bad but also some juices which are having not sweetie taste but many acids in it and different forms of sugar may be cause the damage. Even though you consume some times this kind of food the best thing to do is rinse your teeth properly with water.

Diet is not always harmful for your teeth. You can use proper food to make your teeth healthy. Best is to consume high calcium foods like low fat milk, yogurt, and aged cheese. Tea is huge source of fluoride. Fresh fruits and vegetables which are source of vitamin A and C are basic source to have healthy gums.

Apart from the diet, some habits are also harmful for dental health. For example - smoking, chewing tobacco, alcohol etc. These are the reasons for periodontal disease, tooth decay and oral cancer. So this goes far more important than not only dental hygiene but also caring and taking prevention against cancer.

Continuing good mouth and tooth care as an adult can help you to have pleasant breath, a nice smile, fewer cavities and avoid tooth loss, painful gums or other problems
