The FDA has issued a warning last June 2007 on some toothpaste which comes from China. These are said to be containing a poisonous substance Diethylene Glycol. As consumers, you have to check if the toothpaste you will be buying has no Diethylene Glycol to avoid getting a poisonous one.
If you are not sure of the toothpaste you will be buying has Diethylene Glycol on it, check the label if is recommended by American Dental Association. In this way, you will be assured that you are getting the safer one.
Toothpastes with fluoride are beneficial to your teeth.

Dental Floss
Dental flosses are the handiest of all the dental products. You can bring them anywhere. However, you cannot just any dental floss. You have to make sure that:
Dental flosses should be strong enough that it would not snap. Flosses in poor quality will easily snap and could damage your gums.

Dental flosses should not be waxed. Waxed dental flosses are not effective in cleaning as they slip easily in teeth’s in-betweens.

Mouthwash

Dentists suggested that mouth wash does not work in such a way as brushing will do. However, mouthwash can minimize growth of bacteria but it could not substitute brushing
Mouthwash contains alcohol which will make your saliva dry up easily. It is always good to ask your dentist before using one.
Mouthwash can be harmful for those who have special dental conditions. Likewise it is better to heed to the dentist for his valuable advice.
